About me

Beatrice Zappia was born on March 21, 1970, in Naples, where she currently lives and works as a painter, architect, and Feng Shui consultant. After graduating with honors in architecture in 2000 from the University of Naples 'Federico II', she embarked on a journey aimed at a more holistic approach to architecture, focusing on the study of the ancient Eastern art of Feng Shui and receiving her diploma in 2011 from the Italian School of Feng Shui Architecture in Verona.

Over the years, her passion for painting has matured through a parallel journey, leading her to consistently exhibit her work in various solo and group shows from 2009 to the present day. Her artistic research goes hand in hand with the study of subtle energies that inform living spaces. These spaces are also a recurring theme in her figurative-oriented painting, where the energetic imprint they carry and the kind of resonances they activate in the observer are emphasized. Drawing on the visions of Fritjof Capra, she invites the observer's energetic body "to participate in this cosmic dance of energy" that exists in everything, in every place.

Quoting Gregg Braden, "the entire creation is immersed and connected by a field of subtle energy. We 'speak' directly to this field through emotions, beliefs, and prayer ... participating in the healing of our bodies, peace in our families." This vision is at the core of her professional, artistic, and spiritual activities: "I believe that art lives on its revealing essence, carries a strong energetic imprint, and therefore has the power to transform spaces and the lives of those who inhabit them."

Along the way, the artist reveals a personal fascination with a particular energy level that Feng Shui defines as 'water energy' or latent energy. This is a characteristic of many of her paintings, whose dominant colors are blue and black, while the spaces point to a suspended, almost meditative dimension: "My paintings explore the yin side of life and nature, where space is suspended, silent, seemingly still or rocking, and everything is a listening of oneself, pure resonance of the whole. Western culture often misunderstands the value of this energetic dimension, which Feng Shui defines as latent, yet it is an integral part of every life cycle, it is the winter that guards the seeds, it is the feminine that listens and nourishes, it is the darkness in which dreams can redefine themselves, it is the natural transition between the end of one life cycle and the beginning of the next."
